Scorchflame Plate Gloves Location
To get the gloves, you will want to head northwest of the D in Demeniss on the map. Look for a place where several streams meet and form three waterfalls. There you will find a pair of waterfalls and one that is all by itself. Approach the pair of waterfalls and jump down into the ravine where they end.
Approach the waterfall on the right and walk on the rocky path that leads into the rushing water. Perform a stab attack by hitting Right Trigger + Y (Xbox) / Right Trigger + Triangle (PlayStation) to force yourself into the cave behind it. Follow the path to find a Refined Palmer Pill, some small treasure chests, and a chest containing the Scorchflame Plate Gloves.
The gloves are quite good for fire builds, as they arrive at Refinement Level 2, have a base 14 Attack, 6 Defense, no Critical Rate, and two Abyss Gear slots. One of these slots is just Spirit recovery, while the other gives you access to the Volcanic Eruption ability whenever you attack with a Fire-imbued skill. This will release a ton of volcanic rocks around you, giving you some nice AoE (Area of Effect) damage.
Defeating the Grave Walker
From where you found the gloves, exit the waterfall and take an immediate left into another cave system that leads to a large room. Inside the room, a bunch of boulders will form a boss called the Grave Walker. Don’t let his size intimidate you, as this foe is actually fairly simple to deal with.
When the boss fight starts, the Grave Walker will turn into a tornado of stone and launch himself at you. Dodge this attack by rolling to either left or right before the boss makes contact with you. If you have enough stamina, you can tank the damage with a shield, but this is not recommended since you won’t have enough stamina to dodge any follow-up moves it performs.
Target either of the boss’s arms and begin attacking it between the Grave Walker’s different attacks. Its deadliest move is an overhead slam that does a ton of damage if you actually get hit. Because of this, when you see the Grave Walker raise its arms, back up and wait for it to strike before moving back in to attack.
Your goal here is to fill up the yellow bar under the health to stagger the Grave Walker. Doing so will shatter the boss into several rocks, so focus on that one and absolutely wail on it. The Grave Walker takes way more damage when staggered and can be quickly killed before it has a chance to even recover.
Scorchflame Plate Cloak Location
Once the Grave Walker is dead, go to the top right corner of the room and perform a Force Palm strike against the wall while you have your knife dug into it with the Left Trigger. This will reveal a trick wall, flipping you into a secret chamber with a chest containing the Scorchflame Plate Cloak.
You can also get the Sorcerer’s Staff by igniting the two torches on either side of the metal bars in the main boss room.
Scorchflame Leather Boots Location
Climb back up to the top of the two waterfalls and look across to your left for a larger, single waterfall. Fly over to it and land on the small stone path that leads into the water. Similar to the gloves, perform another stab attack to launch yourself through the waterfall and into the cave.
Follow the tunnel till the end to find a couple of small chests, a Refined Palmer Pill, and a large chest containing the Scorchflame Leather Boots. These boots have 13 Attack, 3 Defense, Critical Rate Level 2, and Lightning Resistance Level 1. There are also two Abyss Gear slots, one with 10 percent increased experience gains and another boasting small, passive health regeneration over time.
Scorchflame Plate Helm Location
From where you found the Scorchflame Leather Boots, head northeast to a small collection of buildings called the Stonewell Farm. Look for a small building with a short balcony in front of a wooden door. Climb onto the balcony and go through the door. Stick to either the left or the right when approaching the chest since there’s a trap door on the floor that will drop you into the lower building.
Inside the chest will be the Scorchflame Plate Helm, which is Refinement Level 2, has 4 Defense, and a single Abyss Gear slot with Fire Resistance Level 1 in it. You also cannot close this helm, so if you don’t like looking as if you’re being eaten by a dragon, then this might not be an ideal helm to wear unless you want everything to match.
Scorchflame Plate Armor Location
Finally, make your way east from Stonewell Farm until you reach the Golden Trading Post. There you will see a large, long structure broken up across multiple floors. On the ground floor, go to the middle where two humans are talking to an ogre, and look for a set of wooden panels that appear as a door.
Approach the panels, crouch, and walk forward into them to reveal a hidden, rotating door. This will lead you to a small room with a chest that contains the Scorchflame Plate Armor. This comes with 14 Defense, Critical Rate Level 2, and Fire Resistance Level 7. There are no Abyss Gear slots, so this armor is only good when dealing with fire-based enemies or if you’re exploring the Crimson Desert.
