Netflix has officially unveiled the 12-track soundtrack for the highly anticipated second season of its anime-style Devil May Cry adaptation, doubling down on the early 2000s rock and nu-metal aesthetic that defined the first season. The confirmed lineup prominently features iconic bands, headlined by a new collaboration with Evanescence and a special remix from Korn. This strategic musical curation is designed to resonate with longtime fans of the video game franchise, which is renowned for its stylish, high-octane action and a rock-infused identity.

The full soundtrack list reveals a potent mix of returning artists and fresh entries. Evanescence, who contributed “Afterlife” to season one, returns with the band version of their classic “My Immortal” and a Power Glove remix of “Meet Me in the Afterlife,” featuring Amy Lee. The list also confirms the return of Gunship and Papa Roach with new remixes, while Korn makes a notable debut with a Power Glove remix of their hit “Freak on a Leash.” Other confirmed tracks include Drowning Pool’s “Bodies,” Avril Lavigne’s “Sk8er Boi,” and an original piece by series composer Casey Edwards featuring Amira Elfeky, titled “Bazooka.”

This musical direction is more than just background noise; it is integral to establishing the tone and atmosphere of the anime. The selection of early 2000s rock and metal tracks directly mirrors the era in which the original Devil May Cry games rose to prominence, creating a powerful sense of nostalgia and authenticity. Furthermore, the involvement of Power Glove, known for their synthwave and retro-electronic style, adds a modern, cinematic layer to these classic rock anthems, bridging the gap between the game’s legacy and the show’s contemporary adaptation.

The announcement was accompanied by a new official key visual for the season two soundtrack, allowing for a direct comparison with the artwork from the first season’s release. This visual branding reinforces the cohesive identity Netflix is building for the series. The news follows a recent trailer that recapped the events of the first season, which explored Dante’s family history, and teased the return of his twin brother, Vergil, setting the stage for a new demon-hunting mission.

Devil May Cry season 2 is scheduled to premiere on Netflix. Fans can currently stream the entirety of the first season on the platform. The last major installment in the core game series was Devil May Cry 5, available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms. This new season, bolstered by its carefully crafted soundtrack, aims to capture the essence of the beloved franchise for both existing enthusiasts and a new generation of viewers.
