WTW Reorganizes EMEA Consulting Leadership to Drive AI and Technology Growth

By Gaming Central - Gaming Editorial Team

WTW has implemented a significant reorganization of its Insurance Consulting and Technology business across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). The restructuring establishes two dedicated business lines and appoints new leaders with the explicit goal of accelerating growth and the adoption of artificial intelligence and advanced analytics. This move responds directly to escalating client demand for integrated, technology-driven solutions in the insurance sector.

A New Structure for Enhanced Specialization

The core of the reorganization is the creation of two distinct, regionally focused business lines: EMEA Property & Casualty (P&C) and EMEA Life. This separation is designed to foster deeper expertise within each insurance domain. By concentrating resources and leadership, WTW aims to deliver more consistent, scalable, and sophisticated capabilities to its clients throughout the EMEA region. The firm stated that this structure will enable it to accelerate innovation and meet the growing need for specialized consulting services powered by technology.

Leadership Appointments to Steer Strategic Growth

To helm these new divisions, WTW has appointed two seasoned executives with extensive industry backgrounds. Tim Rourke assumes the role of EMEA P&C Leader, bringing over 25 years of experience, including eight years at WTW where he recently led UK P&C pricing, product, claims, and underwriting consulting. His mandate will be to bridge WTW’s innovation and AI capabilities with the specific, evolving requirements of P&C insurers across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Focusing on Life Insurance and Advanced Analytics

Michael Kluettgens takes on the position of EMEA Life Leader. With nearly 15 years at WTW, his experience advising global insurers on mergers, acquisitions, and financial reporting equips him to guide clients through complex market dynamics. In his new role, Kluettgens will lead the development of WTW’s Life consulting proposition, placing a strong emphasis on advanced analytics, AI enablement, and comprehensive end-to-end technology solutions for life insurers.

Driving AI Transformation Across the Organization

Beyond the regional leadership changes, WTW is amplifying its focus on artificial intelligence at a global level. Tammy Richardson is transitioning into a broader global role dedicated to executing the firm’s AI transformation strategy. Her responsibility will be to spearhead the integration of AI across WTW’s operations and to advance the development of next-generation solutions for clients. This underscores AI’s central role in WTW’s future service delivery and internal evolution.

Responding to Market Demands for Integrated Solutions

The restructuring is a direct response to market forces. Insurers across the EMEA region are increasingly seeking partners who can provide not just advisory services but fully integrated, technology-enabled solutions that address digital transformation challenges. WTW’s new model is built to deliver innovation at greater speed and scale, positioning the firm as a strategic partner capable of supporting clients through rapid technological change.

The reorganization signals a clear commitment from WTW to remain at the forefront of the insurtech and consulting landscape. By aligning its leadership and structure with the twin engines of specialization and technological adoption, particularly AI, the firm is strengthening its capacity to support growth and transformation for insurers navigating an increasingly digital and data-driven future.
