The upcoming second season of the television anime adaptation of Yuji Iwahara’s manga, Clevatess, has unveiled exciting new details ahead of its July 2026 premiere. This new information includes additional cast members, the ending theme song, a fresh key visual, and a second promotional video, building significant anticipation for the continuation of this action fantasy series. The first season, produced by Lay-duce, concluded its 12-episode run in Summer 2025 and was widely distributed internationally via Crunchyroll, setting a solid foundation for the next chapter.
A notable expansion to the voice cast has been announced, featuring several esteemed actors bringing new characters to life. Misaki Kuno, known for her role in Kusuriya no Hitorigoto, will voice Sarasa, while Koutarou Nishiyama from Tougen Anki joins as Edison. The cast is further rounded out by Akira Sekine (Tsue to Tsurugi no Wistoria) as Mirea and Shirou Sano (Ihatov Gensou: Kenji no Haru) as Romaine. This infusion of talent promises to deepen the narrative and character dynamics as the story progresses.
On the musical front, the popular unit MYTH & ROID, celebrated for their work on series like Overlord and Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu, has been confirmed to perform the ending theme titled “Awake Anew.” A preview of this song is featured in the newly released promotional video, offering fans a taste of the season’s atmospheric sound. The core production team from the first season is returning, with Kiyotaka Taguchi directing again at Lay-duce, Keigo Koyanagi handling series composition, Souichirou Sako on character designs, and Nobuaki Nobusawa composing the score.
The source material, Iwahara’s Clevatess: Majuu no Ou to Akago to Shikabane no Yuusha manga, continues its serialization, providing ample content for adaptation. Originally launched on LINE Manga in 2020, it now runs in Kadokawa’s Alive+ magazine on ComicWalker, with its 12th volume released in April. The manga’s growing international audience is set to expand further, as Yen Press licensed the English version in February, with the first volume scheduled for release on August 25, bridging the gap between Japanese and Western fans.
